Public consultation opens on the 2 MW BESS Polaris III 343 storage plant in Los Realejos (Tenerife)

The Canary Islands' Direccion General de Energia has opened public consultation on the application for administrative authorisation of «Almacenamiento de energia con baterias BESS Polaris III 343», 2 MW with 10.03 MWh of batteries (about four hours), in Los Realejos, promoted by Polaris Batteries III, SL. It will evacuate through a 450 m, 20 kV underground section to SE Los Realejos and is subject to simplified environmental impact assessment. Objections may be filed within thirty days of publication. The BOC carried eight further storage consultations in the same municipality on 2 October.
