Public consultation on the 19.5 MW Castillo Garcimuñoz storage module, in Pinarejo (Cuenca)

The Industry and Energy office of the central government sub-delegation in Cuenca has opened public consultation on the prior and construction authorisations for the 19.5 MW Castillo Garcimuñoz storage module and its evacuation infrastructure in Pinarejo. The batteries will hybridise the existing 25.5 MW Castillo Garcimuñoz wind farm and the 20.925 MW solar plant of the same name, leaving a 30 MW hybrid installation. The file runs under the simplified route of Royal Decree 997/2025: it is exempt from simplified environmental assessment and its processing terms are halved. Comments are due within fifteen days of publication.
