Consultation opens on the 42 MW «HIB Las Cruces I» battery hybridising a Plasencia solar plant

Extremadura has opened consultation on amending the prior authorisation of the Las Cruces I solar plant in Plasencia (Cáceres) to add the HIB Las Cruces I battery storage module: 42 MW across 35 battery containers, 175,525 kWh and four hours of charge and discharge, with 210 inverters of 200 kW and five transformers totalling 45 MVA. The developer is Decoae Energías Renovables 6, and the plant obtained its prior and construction authorisations in June. Submissions run for thirty working days from publication, so the window closes on 9 November at the earliest; confirm the exact date with the directorate.
