Public consultation on the Santa Engracia 400 kV substation expansion (La Rioja)

Red Eléctrica has applied for prior administrative and construction authorisation to expand the 400 kV yard of the Santa Engracia transmission substation, in Santa Engracia del Jubera, with one circuit-breaker position and a 150 MVAr reactor. The work is listed in the third partial amendment to the 2021-2026 Transmission Grid Development Plan and is intended to reinforce security of supply and the grid's control and operating capacity. The Directorate-General for Energy Policy and Mines decides the file; submissions go to the Government Delegation in La Rioja within thirty working days of publication.
