Grid connection for the Port of Valencia floating solar plant is awarded

The Port Authority of Valencia has awarded the Pavener-Pavasal joint venture, for 1.03 million euros over eleven months, the export system connecting the floating solar plant on the Príncipe Felipe breakwater to the medium-voltage network, as reported by pv magazine España. The design links the two PV-bos platforms through a 6.6 kV outlet, submarine cable and a prefabricated 20 kV unit, with anti-export equipment in the port's distribution centre. The plant totals 1 MW and an estimated 1,500 MWh a year, under self-consumption with no grid export.
