Aena brings 120 MW of solar into service at Madrid-Barajas airport

Aena brought the first solar plant of its complex at Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas airport into service in early September: 120 MW nominal, around 215,000 modules and an expected 242.9 GWh of annual output. Two more plants are planned: a 7.5 MW self-consumption plant for terminals T1, T2 and T3 with no export to the grid, and a third of 45 MW still being drafted. Aena puts the cost of its solar plan on this project at more than 750 million euros.
