Andalusia gains 5 GW for demand and 9 GW for generation in the 2030 grid plan

The Secretary of State for Energy, Joan Groizard, has set out the Andalusian results of the new 2030 electricity planning proposal after reviewing the 2,566 submissions received during the hearing phase: the proposal foresees 5 GW of extra network capacity for new demand and 9 GW for generation and storage, and makes the region the territory with the largest rollout of new infrastructure in Spain, as reported by El Periódico de la Energía. He announced it after meeting the Andalusian minister Jorge Paradela, as part of a round of contacts with the regions. If you are hunting for a connection point in Andalusia, those figures give the scale of the reinforcement planned for the region.
