Expansion of the Cinca 220 kV substation with a new GIS substation authorised (Monzon)

Aragon's Direccion General de Energia y Minas has granted prior administrative and construction authorisation for the modification «Ampliacion subestacion Cinca 220 kV (nueva subestacion blindada)», which includes a 220 kV double-circuit overhead and underground in-out line at SE Cinca off the Mequinenza-Monzon line, plus the modification of the 220 kV single-circuit Cinca-Monzon line, in Monzon and Castejon del Puente. This is the kind of node expansion a developer checks when looking for a connection point on the Mequinenza-Monzon axis.
