Expansion of the ST Daganzo 220/20 kV substation authorised, in Daganzo de Arriba (Madrid)

Madrid's energy transition and circular economy directorate grants prior administrative authorisation and approves the execution project for the expansion of the ST Daganzo 220/20 kV substation, on the M-118 road in Daganzo de Arriba, at the request of I-DE Redes Eléctricas Inteligentes (file 2024P1083). The decision rests on the report finding that no environmental impact assessment is needed, subject to the conditions set by the regional biodiversity and forestry directorate. An expansion at a 220 kV substation is the kind of work that shifts the capacity available at that point, both for evacuating generation and for serving new demand.
