Red Eléctrica's 400 kV Gaussa-Saguntum line authorised in Sagunto, with public utility

Spain's energy ministry has granted Red Eléctrica de España prior administrative and construction authorisation for the 400 kV double-circuit Gaussa-Saguntum transmission line and for the by-pass of the 400 kV Eliana-Gaussa and Morvedre-Gaussa 2 lines, at Sagunto (Valencia), and has declared the works to be of public utility. This reinforces the 400 kV mesh around Sagunto: it changes the transmission topology projects in the area evacuate into, and it opens the way to expropriation of the affected land.
