Biomethane injection point on the Segovia Norte gas pipeline authorised at Carbonero el Mayor

Spain's Directorate-General for Energy Policy and Mines has granted Redexis Infraestructuras administrative authorisation, approval of the execution project and a declaration of public utility for a new injection point on the Segovia Norte gas pipeline, for biomethane at Carbonero el Mayor. The resolution is dated 8 September 2026. Public-utility status opens the way to expropriation and clears construction of the point, which is how biomethane produced nearby reaches the gas grid. The BOE has authorised equivalent points this month on the Linares-Villacarrillo (Úbeda), Zaragoza-Calatayud and Gallur-Tauste-Ejea pipelines.
