Repowering of the 220 kV Mediano-Pont de Suert transmission line authorised (Huesca and Lleida)

Spain's Directorate-General for Energy Policy and Mines has granted Red Electrica de Espana both prior administrative authorisation and construction authorisation for the repowering of the 220 kV Mediano-Pont de Suert line, in the provinces of Huesca and Lleida. This is a granted resolution, not a public-consultation step. Repowering acts on an existing transmission line, so anyone assessing evacuation along this axis between Aragon and Catalonia now has a firm change to the reference infrastructure.
