Moreruela 400 kV substation authorised, with five bays and public-utility status (Zamora)

Spain's Directorate-General for Energy Policy and Mines has granted Red Eléctrica de España prior administrative authorisation and construction authorisation for the new Moreruela 400 kV substation, with five new bays, in the municipalities of Moreruela de los Infanzones and Piedrahita de Castro, and has declared it of public utility. The resolution is dated 3 September 2026. Public-utility status opens the way to expropriation of the affected land. The BOE published the authorisation of the 400 kV in/out connection at this same substation the previous day.
