Two 220 kV underground lines authorised for Microsoft in Meco (Madrid)

Madrid's Directorate General for Energy Transition and Circular Economy has granted prior administrative authorisation and approved the execution project for two 220 kV underground lines on calle Hércules and calle Zeus in Meco, applied for by Microsoft 7724 Spain. Two 220 kV lines dedicated to a single applicant fit the profile of a data centre connection. For a developer in the Henares corridor, it is a marker of where 220 kV capacity is being committed.
