Transformer upgrade authorised at the Puertollano substation: 220/132 kV, 150 to 200 MVA

Castilla-La Mancha's energy transition directorate grants prior and construction authorisation to replace transformer TR1, 220/132 kV and 150 MVA, with a 220/132 kV, 200 MVA unit at the Puertollano substation (Ciudad Real), at the request of E-Distribución Redes Digitales (reference 2401/00169). That is 50 MVA more transformation capacity between 220 and 132 kV on the same site: exactly the kind of reinforcement that governs how much new generation or demand the surrounding 132 kV network can take.
