BW ESS buys two standalone batteries totalling 126 MW from Navacant in the Valencia region

BW ESS has acquired two standalone battery storage projects in the Valencia region from Spanish developer Navacant, of 99 MW and 27 MW and up to 675 MWh of capacity between them, according to pv magazine España. The deal widens the buyer's position in the Spanish market; BW ESS specialises in owning and operating large-scale storage assets. For a developer it confirms there is an industrial buyer for standalone BESS portfolios in Spain, and puts another 126 MW of storage in play at Valencian nodes.
