Castilla y León starts approving the Regional Project for a hyperscale data centre in Monfarracinos (Zamora)

By a resolution of 11 September 2026, Castilla y León's commissioner for depopulation and spatial planning has started the approval procedure for the Regional Project covering a hyperscale data centre in the Zamora Norte industrial estate, in the municipality of Monfarracinos (Zamora), together with its associated infrastructure. For a renewables or storage developer it is the signal that a large new load and its supply infrastructure are entering public processing around Zamora.
