«Najerilla Solar» refused over planning incompatibility in Baños de Río Tobía (La Rioja)

La Rioja's Directorate-General for Enterprise, Energy and Internationalisation has refused and closed the authorisation procedure for the «Najerilla Solar» solar plant and its evacuation infrastructure in Baños de Río Tobía, applied for by Barrika Energía, SL (file AT/25704). The town council reported that the plots are classified as non-developable land protected for farming and livestock, where industrial energy-production facilities are among the prohibited uses, and the promoter filed a withdrawal in June. It is a reminder that municipal planning compatibility decides before the energy procedure does.
