Favourable environmental decision for the solar-wind hybrid feeding green hydrogen at Villamuriel

The Castilla y León regional government issues the environmental impact decision for a hybrid solar and wind plant that will supply a green hydrogen production plant in the municipality of Villamuriel de Cerrato (Palencia), developed by Hidrógeno Verde Villamuriel. According to pv magazine España the decision is favourable, and the scheme combines 13.7 MWp of solar (12.36 MW nominal) with a 13.2 MW wind farm of two SG170-6.6 turbines, linked by 30 kV underground lines to the future hydrogen plant's generation and distribution centre. It is the second energy project in the pipeline in the municipality: the BOCyL of 5 October opened public consultation on Naturgy Nuevas Energías' biomethanisation plant there.
