EDP and Zelestra sign two PPAs to add batteries to Pedroso (Seville) and Valkyria

EDP and Zelestra have signed two new power purchase agreements to add storage to two already operating solar plants, according to pv magazine España. At Pedroso (Seville) a 25 MW, roughly 100 MWh BESS will sit beside 31 MWp of PV; at Valkyria (Castilla-La Mancha), one of 90.45 MW and around 362 MWh will be integrated with 150 MWp of solar. Both are four-hour systems and they take to four the hybridisation projects between the two companies, after Trujillo (Extremadura) and Pizarroso (Cáceres), which together exceed 1 GWh of storage.
