Galicia's high court rules for the Xunta on two more halted wind farms

Galicia's environment minister, Ángeles Vázquez, said after meeting the Galician Wind Association that the third section of the TSXG's administrative chamber has issued two further rulings in the Xunta's favour on two more halted wind farms, adding to the Bustelo judgment reported the previous week. According to Vázquez, the Bustelo ruling goes beyond the doctrine on fragmented permitting and examines the environmental assessment's documentation and reports. The Xunta and the industry read these decisions as a possible turn in the chamber that had halted dozens of farms; Vázquez also put authorised repowering operations at nine, with ten more in process.
