Galicia gains 10 substation parks and 208 km of line in the revised 2030 grid plan

The Secretary of State for Energy has set out to the Xunta the outcome of MITECO's revised 2030 electricity planning proposal for Galicia, after working through the 2,566 submissions from the consultation phase. According to El Periódico de la Energía, the revised proposal provides for 10 new substation parks in Galicia and 208 km of new lines — 22% more than the original proposal — with 44 new bays, plus 579 km of work on existing lines; it adds 1.6 GW of capacity for industrial demand and reinforces the networks to carry more than 5 GW of renewables and storage. The document now goes to Congress and to the Council of Ministers.
