Public consultation on the 8.25 MW Erg Bess Fregenal battery hybridisation, Fregenal de la Sierra (Badajoz)

Extremadura's Directorate-General for Industry, Energy and Mines has opened public consultation on the amendment of the prior authorisation of the «PS Fregenal de la Sierra» solar plant to add the «Erg Bess Fregenal» battery storage module — 8,250 kW and 33,000 kWh over four hours — promoted by Erg Solar Fregenal de la Sierra. It will connect through a 20 kV underground line and a new bay at the existing SET Fregenal substation, with a material execution budget of €4.98 million.
