Environmental impact report for the Mataporquera battery plant, Valdeolea

The Boletín Oficial de Cantabria has published the environmental impact report for file EIA-SIMP.026.2025, on the energy storage plant at Mataporquera, in Valdeolea. According to El Periódico de la Energía the report is favourable: the project, promoted by Bellwood Corporate Services with six battery containers and 10.12 MW, will not have to undergo full environmental assessment provided it meets the additional measures and conditions set out in the report.
