CNMC consults on monthly exchange of demand connection permits between REE and distributors

Spain's regulator CNMC has opened a hearing on a draft resolution, file RDC/DE/002/26, setting up an information-exchange mechanism between Red Eléctrica, as transmission system operator, and the distribution network operators covering access and connection permits granted to demand installations connected to distribution. Distributors will have to send that information on the 15th of each month, with a first exchange by 15 November 2026 at the latest. The draft develops the CNMC resolution of 1 December 2025 on demand access capacity and aims to give the system operator a consistent, up-to-date and traceable view of new demand connections.
