Alcocero de Mola wind farm modification (78 MW, Burgos) cleared without a full EIA

Spain's environmental assessment directorate has ruled that the modification of the Alcocero de Mola wind farm, developed by Iberenova Promociones, does not require a full environmental impact assessment, as no significant adverse effects are expected provided the resolution's measures are met. The revised project has 13 turbines of 6 MW, seven of them in new positions, a 30/220 kV substation and a 220 kV evacuation route to REE's Alcocero de Mola substation. The overhead line is to be built as a double circuit shared with the FV Belorado I solar plant's evacuation, a condition set by the Burgos industry service — a shared evacuation corridor now cleared.
