Grid planning adds five substations and 1.4 GW of extra demand in Murcia

El Periodico de la Energia reports that the Government has taken up the Region of Murcia's requests in the processing of the 2025-2030 transmission network plan, with five new substations and 1.4 gigawatts of additional demand over the first proposal, aimed at industrial and housing needs. The plan is the document that sets where network will be available in the coming years, so each new substation opens connection points that do not exist in the region today.
