Nabiax breaks ground on Alcalá Data Center 3, 100 MW IT, with €800 million investment

Nabiax has laid the first stone of “Alcalá Data Center 3” (ADC3) in Alcalá de Henares, with an investment of close to €800 million and up to 100 MW IT to be built in phases through 2029; Ferrovial holds the construction contract and the project would take the company to 135 MW installed in Spain. According to El Periódico de la Energía, the project also envisages Redeia building a substation of more than 100 MW to power the campus, and the company calls it “unviable” to meet every requirement of Spain's data-centre decree simultaneously within the set deadlines. That substation is the figure that matters to anyone looking at the area.
