Red Eléctrica activates demand response again: 943 MW mobilised on 28 September

Red Eléctrica called on its Active Demand Response Service (SRAD) again on 28 September: on the operator's own ESIOS data the activation began at 21:16, mobilised 943 MW, 53% of the capacity awarded for the half-year, and reached 1,634.5 MWh, at a moment when wind output was below forecast. It was the ninth activation of the year and the seventh since 15 July. For the second half of 2026 the operator awarded 1,775 MW of SRAD at a marginal price of 42.62 euros per MW per hour of availability, with a 1 MW minimum per provider individually or aggregated, activations of at most two hours and 12.5 minutes' notice.
