Solaria in talks with Alibaba to supply a data centre in Puertollano, Bloomberg reports

Bloomberg, as relayed by El Periódico de la Energía, reports that Alibaba Group has held preliminary talks with Solaria about supplying renewable power to a data centre in Puertollano. The talks remain at a preliminary stage, unlike other data centres the Chinese group has already announced it will build in Europe. In September Alibaba set out a plan to expand its data centre and AI infrastructure in Europe and the Middle East, aiming to pass 20 GW of global capacity by 2032.
