Three solar plants in Buitrago del Lozoya sent to full strategic environmental assessment

The Madrid regional government has published the strategic environmental report on the special plan through which Castellana de Desarrollos Solares wants to build three solar plants and their high-voltage evacuation line in Buitrago del Lozoya. The report rules that the plan must undergo full (ordinary) strategic environmental assessment and sets out the scoping document for the environmental study. For the developer that means the long environmental route rather than the simplified one, with the strategic environmental study still to come before the plan can be approved.
