A Martorell factory adds 3.87 MWh of batteries to get around a grid capacity shortfall

Prymos Energy has brought into operation at the Alcalá Industrial plant (GCosmos), in VGP Park Martorell, a self-consumption system with 750 kWp of solar and batteries of 3.87 MWh and 1,260 kW, running since early September 2026, according to pv magazine España. The company needed more power to expand production and extending its grid connection meant long lead times and reinforcement works, so it covered the shortfall behind the meter. The system sustains three consecutive days without sun without exceeding the contracted power.
