Biomethane plant in Quintanilla de la Mata (Burgos) plans 2.78 MW of solar and batteries

According to pv magazine España, Castilla y León's agriculture and environment department has published the environmental authorisation application and environmental impact study for an organic by-product plant in Quintanilla de la Mata, promoted by Biogas Power Generation XIV, of the B Power group. The project would treat up to 131,000 tonnes of waste a year to produce biomethane for injection into the Enagás network, with 2.78 MW of solar and battery storage feeding the process itself. The plant has no electrical evacuation line and runs off-grid, after a medium-voltage line was ruled out on capacity limits and technical grounds.
