Public-utility status for upgrading and undergrounding the 66 kV Tres Cantos-Venteros-El Águila line

Madrid's directorate-general for energy transition and circular economy has granted prior administrative authorisation, approved the works project and declared of specific public utility the uprating and undergrounding of the 66 kV double-circuit overhead line ST Tres Cantos-STR Venteros-STC El Águila, between towers 28 and 48, in the municipalities of Madrid and San Sebastián de los Reyes, at the request of I-DE Redes Eléctricas Inteligentes. The work falls on a 66 kV corridor in the north of the region, between Tres Cantos and San Sebastián de los Reyes (file 2022P545).
