Galicia's Directorate-General for Renewable Energy and Climate Change has granted both prior and construction administrative authorisation to the extension of the PSFV Porto Barroso solar plant to 990 kW of installed capacity, in the municipality of Vilalba (Lugo). The promoter is Tecnorenova Solar, S.L., under file FV 26/2025. Both authorisations come in a single resolution dated 6 August 2026, now published in the DOG.
The Toledo provincial delegation of the Sustainable Development department has opened a public consultation on the application for prior administrative authorisation of the hybridisation of the Torrijos-Novés II photovoltaic installation with a storage module named «Bess Torrijos», in the municipality of Novés (Toledo), reference PE-547-CI. This is the stage at which objections can be filed before prior authorisation is decided, and it adds a co-located storage module to a named solar project in Novés.
Aragón's environmental agency (INAGA) has decided not to submit the external electrical connections of the «Proyecto Rhodes» data-centre campus — a Plan de Interés General de Aragón — to a full environmental impact assessment, and has issued its environmental impact report instead. The scheme covers a 220 kV overhead-and-underground line between REE's Calatorao 220 kV substation and the new «Rhodes» 220/33 kV transformer substation with its metering centre, plus a 15 kV underground medium-voltage line from the La Almunia substation to the data centre, across La Almunia de Doña Godina, Alfamén and Calatorao (Zaragoza). The promoter is Calanza Inmuebles, S.L. For a developer, the point is where demand of this size plugs in: the Calatorao 220 kV node.

The Dirección General de Política Energética y Minas has corrected its resolution of 20 April 2023 (BOE of 8 May 2023) granting Elawan Energy Olmedo 2, SL the autorización administrativa previa for the «Elawan Olmedo II» solar plant and its evacuation infrastructure in Ramiro (Valladolid): the installed capacity of 50.064 MW should read 49.61 MW, a figure the resolution derives under transitional provision five of Real Decreto 1183/2020. It is an error correction under article 109 of Ley 39/2015, so it does not reopen the procedure, but it settles the installed capacity the project is authorised for.
A second resolution of the same date: the Dirección General de Política Energética y Minas has granted Sistemas Energéticos Boyal, SL the autorización administrativa previa and autorización administrativa de construcción for the 5 MW «Boyal II» wind farm and its evacuation infrastructure in Borja and Mallén (Zaragoza) and Cortes (Navarra), with a declaration of public utility. Together with «Boyal I», authorised the same day, the developer now holds 10 MW of authorised wind capacity in the same municipalities — worth noting when weighing land take and the local connection point.

The Canary Islands' Directorate-General for Energy has authorised Red Eléctrica to fully dismantle the old 66 kV line running north to south across Fuerteventura, in three sections: Gran Tarajal-Matas Blancas, Salinas-Gran Tarajal and Salinas-Corralejo. According to the regional ecological transition department, the step required the new 132 kV network to be fully connected and fitted with the necessary transformers first; REE has up to 18 months to remove 344 towers along more than 93 km. The BOJA has published the binding report of 11 May 2026 granting unified environmental authorisation under file AAU/SE/037/2024/N for the electricity generation installation named «Lasat Quintos 66 kV», promoted by Engie Proyectos Quintos, S.L., in the municipality of Alcalá de Guadaíra (Seville). Spain's environmental assessment directorate has ruled that the modification of the Alcocero de Mola wind farm, developed by Iberenova Promociones, does not require a full environmental impact assessment, as no significant adverse effects are expected provided the resolution's measures are met. The revised project has 13 turbines of 6 MW, seven of them in new positions, a 30/220 kV substation and a 220 kV evacuation route to REE's Alcocero de Mola substation. The overhead line is to be built as a double circuit shared with the FV Belorado I solar plant's evacuation, a condition set by the Burgos industry service — a shared evacuation corridor now cleared.

According to pv magazine España, a visit by the ministers for the ecological transition and for transport confirmed that the 120 MW solar plant at Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas airport is in operation, and that two further Aena installations of 7.5 MW and 45 MW are being deployed, under a self-consumption and distributed renewable generation scheme with combined output estimated at 344 GWh/year. The point for a developer is the scale: one demand site absorbing more than 170 MW of solar without needing a new grid connection point.
Castilla y León has opened public consultation on the application for prior administrative authorisation and construction authorisation of the «Parque Fotovoltaico Matalbaniega» solar plant, in the village of Matalbaniega, municipality of Aguilar de Campoo (Palencia), file FV-1783. This is the stage at which third parties can file objections before the plant is authorised, and the first public record that the project is taking land in northern Palencia.
Asturias's regional planning commission (CUOTA) has granted initial approval to sectoral guidelines for battery storage installations on non-developable land. They set criteria for standalone installations above 3 MW: priority for industrial, mining, energy or degraded land and for proximity to grid connection nodes, exclusion of specially protected land, a 200 m territorial safeguard zone and a 50 m minimum distance from dwellings. The commission also extended by one year its suspension of permits for such installations, which does not reach industrial, mining or degraded energy land, nor self-consumption below 3 MW. A two-month public consultation period will follow.
Spain's Directorate-General for Energy Policy and Mines has granted Red Electrica de Espana both prior administrative authorisation and construction authorisation for the repowering of the 220 kV Mediano-Pont de Suert line, in the provinces of Huesca and Lleida. This is a granted resolution, not a public-consultation step. Repowering acts on an existing transmission line, so anyone assessing evacuation along this axis between Aragon and Catalonia now has a firm change to the reference infrastructure.
